Hellebore Tea

Hellebore Tea

Last year I attended my very first real tea party. Each table had a theme, I dressed up appropriate to my table, and enjoyed a very lovely afternoon with wonderfully creative ladies. This was just one of the beautiful tea cups. I think it was probably my favourite. It’s very dainty and elegant. It reminded me of my youth, when I spent time with my grandmother every summer, in the south, and learning to be a proper southern girl. (If my grandmother could see me now, she would probably stripe my legs with a switch for being so rebellious!) I had hoped my own daughter would want to get dressed up, put our best foot forward and our pinkies out, but alas, my dreams of that happening and her not being an outspoken little woman have been dashed. Well, maybe. We will see.
